Top-Kniga discloses its financial results and ownership data

Russian bookseller Top-Kniga has disclosed its financial data and information on its owners, Vedomoisti reports. According to the official report, 88% of the firm belongs to Director General Georgy Liamin. The head of assortment department Michael Trifonov owns remaining 12% of the stock.

Top Kinga operates 150 stores in 74 cities and towns. Company’s revenue in 2003 reached RUB1.7billion (USD58.4 million) and in the first half of 2004 it totaled RUB1.1 billion (USD37.7 million). Net profit of the company in 2003 was RUB15.3 million (USD525,583), and RUB3.8 million (USD130,537) in the first 6 months of the current year. In 2004 the revenue is expected at RUB2.5 billion (USD85.8 million). By the end of 2005 the company plans to increase its sales to USD200 million.

Top Kniga started placing its discount notes with the maturity of 2 months this week. Total amount of the issue is RUB100 million. Nominal value is RUB 500,000 and RUB 1 million. Organizer of the issue is Brokerkreditservis Consalting.
