Perekriostok settles down in the South of Russia

Regional profile Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar markets are considered among the most attractive to the retailers in Russia due to the comparatively high population income level. Now the only large-scale chains present in the city are Metro Cash&Carry and Ramstore. Pyaterochka retail chain is also interested in entering the region where it is going to develop by means of franchising.

Perekriostok settles down in the South of Russia, Vedomosti newspaper reports. According to Perekriostok Director on Regional Development Yuri Losev, in Rostov-on-Don the chain has leased three stores of the local retail chain Vavilon with the area of 1,600, 1,200 and 800 sq. metres. The first two stores are located in the shopping centres, while the third is situated separately. Perekriostok in the latter has already opened. The other two shops are to be launched in a month or two.

The first Perekriostok supermarket in Krasnodar is to appear in March, Yuri Losev informed. The Krasnodar store with the floor space of 1,600 sq. metres will be located in the leased premises of the new City-Center shopping complex. In future Perekriostok might buy the store’s premises.
