Power centres to enter Moscow

Garant Invest is set to launch a retail-park near Kashirskaya Metro station, Business newspaper reports. Construction of the centre with the total area of 30,000 sq. metres, will be started in June. The park will work in the format of a power centre where the premises are leased in big blocks, 1,500-2,000 sq. metres each. Such centres are already operating on the MKAD and in Khimki, though they have yet proved to be not very successful. The store near Kashirskaya will be the first power centre within Moscow. Another Moscow power centre planned by Garant Invest will be located near Kolomenskaya metro station. Its total area will reach 48,000 sq. metres while investments into the project are expected at the level of $30 mln.
