Bharti Retail plans 30 new stores in 2009

India-based Bharti Retail plans to set up 30 stores in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) by the end of 2009. The proposed locations include Kirti Nagar in West Delhi and Ghaziabad. At present, the company operates 19 EasyDay convenience stores and one EasyDay supermarket in Ludhiana. The company is also looking at opening up 15 cash and carry stores in collaboration with Wal-Mart in the next seven years.
