Svyaznoi top management to lead MTS retail network

Fourteen executives of major Russian mobile phone retailer Svyaznoi will manage the retail business of Russia’s largest mobile phone operator MTS, the mobile carrier has announced. The move is a part of a three year agreement concluded by MTS and Svyaznoi’s major shareholder Maxim Nogotkov. MTS will also receive Svyaznoi’s management technologies and expertise in the mobile phone retail business. The mobile operator has established a 100% subsidiary called RTK that will handle MTS’ retail activities, including the operations of retailer Telephone.ru. RTK will be headed by Sergei Rumyantsev, who until recently was Executive Vice President at Svyaznoi.
