Aldi plans expansion in Ireland

According to reports in the Irish press, Aldi is to create 650 jobs nationwide over the next three years. The retailer plans to open 35 new stores as well as a regional distribution centre in Cork. Aldi says it has experienced a 20% growth in sales this year, and its customer numbers have increased by 25% in October compared with the same time last year.
