Metro Group makes management change at Cash & Carry

As part of the current restructuring process at Metro Group-owned Metro Cash & Carry in Germany, Sales Director Rainer Thomas will leave the company in mid-March, Lebensmittel Zeitung reported. His position will be taken over by John Rix, the former CEO of Kaiser's Tengelmann and recently Managing Director of the retail company Lagerinn EHF. Reasons for the management change are declining results in Metro’s home market. Additionally, the administration department will receive a new leadership. Markus Dichtl will return to Metro Cash & Carry International as of 1 May. His successor will be Annegret Franzen, who was recently working for Real in Poland.  www.planetretail.net
