Domino’s to continue investment in Turkey
Domino’s has declared it will continue its investment in Turkey, notwithstanding the gloomy economic situation predicted for 2009. The company aims to open 30 new restaurants, increasing the number of units to 136. Currently, Domino’s operates 106 outlets in 11 cities. Domino’s also has 3 production plants in Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul, which have required an investment of TRL3.5 million (USD2.3 million) so far. Domino’s Turkey General Manager Aslan Saranga said that sales grew by 58% in 2008 and the company targets TRL 115million (USD72.2 million) in 2009. Saranga added that Domino’s will open restaurants in Konya, Kayseri, Sinop, Aydin and Afyon. Saranga declared that Domino’s accounts for around 35-40% of local market share.
