Carrefour to raise EUR43.5 million capital for Carrefour Property Development

Carrefour SA will inject EUR43 million (USD61.8 million) into its Carrefour Property Development subsidiary via a capital hike. The company will raise capital by issuing shares, giving preferential rights to existing shareholders. A filing with French market authority AMF showed that Carrefour has completed its public offer for Carrefour Property Development and owns 99.1% of the company’s capital and 99.09% of voting rights. The company’s management has said in recent months that it plans to develop its real-estate expertise as a secondary focus.
