Rewe extends cashback service

As reported by Lebensmittel Zeitung, Rewe Group in Germany is extending its instore cashback service with effect from today, allowing customers to withdraw money via their EC debit cards at more than 2,500 Rewe supermarkets and at its 2,000 Penny discount stores. Previously, the service had been available at around 1,600 supermarkets since 2003. Shoppers wanting to withdraw money need to carry out minimum purchases of EUR20 (USD29) at Rewe, and of EUR25 (USD36) at Penny.
