Metro Cash & Carry in Russia plans to launch an online store in the Moscow region. This is presumed to be scheduled to occur by the end of 2013, according to a Planet Retail interview with Metro Group. The company plans to begin a test phase this year.
The operator has already decided on the range, which will include food as well as non-food items, including brands and private labels. In addition, Metro has already selected a warehouse centre, located between Noginsky and Moscow. Orders from RUB5,000 (USD162.6) will be delivered free of charge.
