Kopeika reports flat revenue growth in 2009

Russian retailer Kopeika has announced financial results for 2009. Kopeika’s revenue increased by 16.7% to RUB54.881 billion (USD1,725 million) in 2009, while gross profit rose by 23.6% to RUB13.748 billion (USD432 million), and operating profit was up 27.8% to RUB2.478 billion (USD78 million). It posted a net profit of RUB1.628 billion (USD51 million). EBITDA was up 78.3% on the year to RUB3.710 billion (USD117 million), as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards, the company reported. Kopeika operates 587 stores, including 511 own stores and 76 franchise stores.
