Amazon poised to enter Russian market

US e-commerce giant Amazon is set to launch its services in Russia, where it is opening a representative office, reports Forbes. Amazon has reportedly hired Arkady Vitrouk, the former General Director of publishing house Azbuka-Atticus, to head operations. This indicates the likelihood of Amazon initially entering the market with its Kindle e-reader, as it did recently in Brazil.
