Baugur London staff to be made redundant

Nearly all of Baugur’s London head office staff will be made redundant as a result of the company going into administration. The UK press has reported industry sources as having said that PricewaterhouseCoopers, Baugur’s administrator, will inform staff at the group’s head office. It is understood that Jon Asgeir Johannesson, Baugur’s Chairman, Chief Executive Gunnar Sigurdsson and Andrew Lobb, Director of Legal and Operations will keep their jobs. However, there is speculation that Jeff Blue, Managing Director of Retail, might be one of those to go. Baugur declined to comment on Jeff Blue or the overall redundancy process.
