Yves Rocher reports disappointing 2008

Yves Rocher reported turnover declined 13.4% year-on-year in 2008 to GBP3.26 million (USD5.29 million) in full year accounts to Companies House. The company blamed the result on a loss of active customers, hit by low confidence as a result of the recession. The company raised questions about its future noting that directors held merely a "reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in existence for the foreseeable future". The company generated a profit before tax of GBP520,000 (USD844,005), down from GBP679,000 (USD1.1 billion) in 2007.
