McDonald's plans expansion in Baltic countries

According to local reports Premier Capital, the Malta-based company which operates McDonald's in Malta and in the Baltic states (Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania), is planning to open eight new restaurants next year in the Baltics, as well as expanding further in Malta. By the end of 2010, it will have 39 McDonald’s restaurants in the Baltic countries. Melo Hili, the Managing Director of Premier Capital, said that since becoming the development licensee for McDonald's in 2005, it immediately embarked on an extensive programme which included opening new restaurants and remodelling existing ones. ''Premier Capital'' now owns the development licenses for ''McDonald's'' in Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania.
