X5 Retail Group to offer mobile phone services in Moscow

X5 Retail Group has reached an agreement with the Russia's largest mobile operator, Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), under which X5 will use its own brand to sell cellular services in Moscow and the Moscow region. The agreement between X5 and TMS to create a virtual operator comes almost a year after the two companies first announced their intentions. X5 plans to start selling its mobile service in Karusel hypermarkets and Perekrestok supermarkets by the end of the summer.
