Auchan stores in Moscow stopped from selling alcohol
Auchan stores in Moscow have stopped selling alcoholic beverages in accordance with a request from city authorities, the Moscow Times reported. Auchan Spokesperson Maria Kurnosova reportedly told Interfax that the Moscow authorities introduced new accounting rules for alcohol sales in retail stores and requested additional documents from the retailer. Kurnosova said the matter concerns logistical documents concerning the transfer of goods within the chain and that some stores filled out these documents incorrectly. The limits only concern Auchan stores located within Moscow.
