Best Buy Europe sees like-for-likes up 6.5%

Carphone Warehouse has reported that Best Buy Europe, saw revenue increase by 13% to GBP1,010 million (USD1,853 million). The 50:50 retail joint venture between Carphone Warehouse and US consumer electronics retailer Best Buy, saw like-for-like retail revenue growth increase by 6.5% or 1.0% on a constant currency basis. In the UK, like-for-like revenue growth reached 8.3%. The company said that the response to its new Carphone Warehouse store formats had “been very encouraging”, and that the company would continue to introduce the format in 2009.
