Reliance Retail rethinks placement strategy

India-based Reliance Retail is rethinking its strategy of focusing on standalone speciality stores and large hypermarkets and is now considering housing a number of brands together in 700-1,000 square metre stores. According to local press reports, the stores will have zones dedicated to food & grocery (Reliance Fresh), apparel (Reliance Trendz), footwear (Reliance Footwear) and electrical goods (Reliance Digital).
