X5 Retail Group expands coverage of E5.ru pick-up points

Russia-based X5 Retail Group has introduced pick-up points for its E5.ru e-commerce banner in selected Pyaterochka stores located in Moscow. The retailer plans to extend the network of collection points to 20 Pyaterochka outlets in the capital by the end of June and extent this service to more Pyaterochka stores located in St Petersburg by the end of 2012. Initially, customers could pay and collect orders from Perekrestok outlets in Moscow and the Moscow region. In April 2012, the company expanded this service to St Petersburg where online shoppers can now pick up their goods from 20 Perekrestok units. Apart from Moscow and St Petersburg, E5.ru operates in more than 100 Russian cities. It was launched in early 2012 and offers 400,000 non-food products.
