Euroset former owner reportedly in London
Former owner of Euroset Yevgeny Chichvarkin flew to London last month, soon after selling his mobile phone company, the Russian newspaper Kommersant has reported. Russian authorities have issued an international warrant for Chichvarkin's arrest. "A petition for the arrest of Yevgeny Chichvarkin will be considered on 28 January by Moscow's Basmanny court," said a spokeswoman for Moscow court service. Prosecutors accuse him of involvement in the kidnapping and blackmail of a former employer who allegedly stole phones and sold them on. According to Kommersant, Chichvarkin flew to London on 22 December and his wife, Natalia, joined him a week later. His spokesperson Natalia Aristova claimed: “He's on holiday”. Asked whether that was in London, she replied: “I don't know.”
