Amazon in rewards programme partnership with Citigroup
Citigroup has teamed its customer loyalty programme with online retailer Amazon in what the financial services company called the largest-ever rewards programme. The partnership gives 13 million Citi card members the ability to shop online for goods fulfilled by Amazon. Citi shoppers will have to go to the loyalty programme's website, not Amazon, to redeem rewards. The programme is part of a long-term strategy to inspire loyalty by providing more rewards selection and better customer service, said Nancy Gordon, Executive Vice President of Citi's rewards programme, called ‘ThankYou Network’. Amazon currently partners with a number of other companies in similar initiatives.
